On November 12, 1962, the Concurso Nacional de Belleza de Colombia held its tenth edition in Cartagena de Indias. Martha Ligia Restrepo González (Miss Atlántico) won the title Señorita Colombia 1962–1963 and was crowned by her predecessor, Sonia Heidman Gómez. From this edition onward, the pageant was held annually rather than every two years.
