The election and coronation night of Miss Colombia 1980–1981 (28th edition) took place at Teatro Cartagena in Cartagena de Indias on 11 November 1980. Nini Johanna Soto González, Miss Santander, won the title and was crowned by outgoing queen María Patricia Arbeláez Peláez. This edition was the first to be televised in color, produced by RCN Televisión and broadcast on Primera Cadena Color.
