The Concurso Nacional de Belleza de Colombia held its 30th edition on 13 November 1982 in Cartagena. Julie Pauline Sáenz Starnes, Señorita Bogotá, won the title Señorita Colombia 1982-1983. She was crowned by Adriana Rumié, the 1981 Virreina, since the 1981 winner, María Teresa Gómez Fajardo, was in London competing at Miss World 1982. It was the first edition to be held at the Centro Internacional de Convenciones de Cartagena.
