The 38th Concurso Nacional de Belleza (Señorita Colombia) took place on 1990-11-11 at the Convention Center in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, with 18 contestants. Lizeth Mahecha (Señorita Colombia 1989–1990) crowned Maribel Gutiérrez of Atlántico as her successor. The event was broadcast live by Cadena Dos, hosted by Jairo Alonso with backstage commentary by Pilar Castaño. Performances included the Spanish singer Raphael and the Ballet de Colombia of Sonia Osorio. This edition debuted on-screen scoring and, for the first time, called a Top 10.
