The election and coronation night of Señorita Colombia 1997-1998 took place in Cartagena de Indias on November 17, 1997, at the Centro de Convenciones Julio César Turbay. It was the 45th edition of the pageant. Señorita Santander, Silvia Fernanda Ortiz Guerra, won the title and was crowned by outgoing queen Claudia Elena Vásquez. This was the last edition broadcast consecutively by public television Inravisión through the programadoras Cenpro TV and RCN Televisión.
