The 49th edition of Señorita Colombia (Miss Colombia 2001-2002) took place on November 11, 2001, at the Convention Center in Cartagena de Indias. Miss Chocó, Vanessa Alexandra Mendoza Bustos, was crowned by outgoing queen Andrea María Nocetti Gómez, becoming the first Black woman to win the title in the history of the pageant. The event was organized by the Concurso Nacional de Belleza de Colombia and broadcast by RCN Televisión.
