Nuestra Belleza México 2008 was the 15th edition, held at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Nuevo León. Events ran from September 18 (semifinal) to September 20, 2008 (final), broadcast on Canal de las Estrellas. Thirty-three contestants competed; Jalisco’s Karla Carrillo won the national title and later represented Mexico at Miss Universe 2009. The Nuestra Belleza Mundo México title went to Sinaloa’s Perla Beltrán, who placed 1st Runner-up at Miss World 2009. Laura Zúñiga was appointed Nuestra Belleza Internacional México 2009 and Reina Hispanoamericana México 2008 but was later stripped of her titles. The edition marked the pageant’s 15th anniversary, with the Corona al Mérito awarded to Priscila Perales. Performers included Playa Limbo and Telefunka; the semifinal featured Luis Fonsi.
