The 5th edition of Miss América Latina del Mundo took place on 1985-09-22 in Miami Beach, Florida, United States. Twenty-six contestants from countries and autonomous territories competed over two weeks. At the end of the event, outgoing titleholder Mirla Ochoa Silva of Venezuela (Miss América Latina del Mundo 1984) crowned Victoria Josefina Mauríz of the Dominican Republic as Miss América Latina del Mundo 1985.
