The 11th edition of Miss América Latina del Mundo was held on November 12, 1992, in Guayaquil, Ecuador, with contestants from 17 countries and territories. At the end of the event, Elena Bellido of Peru, Miss América Latina del Mundo 1991, crowned Sofía Pereira of Nicaragua as Miss América Latina del Mundo 1992.
