The 17th edition of Miss América Latina del Mundo was held on 2000-12-01 in Montelimar, Nicaragua, with candidates from 18 countries and autonomous territories. At the end of the event, outgoing queen Dania Prince of Honduras (Miss América Latina del Mundo 1999) crowned Grace Martins of Brazil as Miss América Latina del Mundo 2000.
