The 18th edition of Miss América Latina del Mundo was held on 22 November 2001 in Punta Cana, República Dominicana, with 18 contestants from countries and autonomous territories competing over two weeks. At the end of the event, outgoing titleholder Grace Martins of Brasil (Miss América Latina del Mundo 2000) crowned Claudia Cruz of República Dominicana as Miss América Latina del Mundo 2001.
