The 24th edition of Miss América Latina del Mundo was held on 28 de junio de 2008 in Punta Cana, República Dominicana. Twenty-three candidates from countries and autonomous territories competed over two weeks. At the end of the event, Heidi García of Guatemala, Miss América Latina del Mundo 2007, crowned her successor Daniele Sampaio of Italia as Miss América Latina del Mundo 2008.
