Miss Brasil 1972 was the 19th edition, held on 23 June 1972 at the Ginásio Maracanãzinho in Rio de Janeiro. Miss Brasil 1971 Eliane Parreira Guimarães of Minas Gerais crowned Rejane Vieira Costa of Rio Grande do Sul. The winner advanced to Miss Universe 1972; the runner-up to Miss World 1972; and the third-place finisher to Miss International 1972. The pageant was broadcast by Rede Tupi, though it reportedly was not listed in the São Paulo TV schedule.
