Miss Brasil 1979 was the 26th edition of the Miss Brasil pageant, held on 16 June 1979 at the Ginásio de Esportes Presidente Médici in Brasília, DF. Twenty-four states and the Federal District competed. Marta Jussara da Costa of Rio Grande do Norte won, becoming the first titleholder from her state. The runner-up represented Brazil at Miss International 1979, and the third-place finisher represented Brazil at Miss World 1979.
