The 27th Miss Brasil pageant was held on 7 June 1980 at the Ginásio Presidente Médici in Brasília, with 26 contestants. Miss Brasil 1979, Marta Jussara da Costa of Rio Grande do Norte, crowned Eveline Schröeter of Rio de Janeiro as the winner. The champion qualified for Miss Universe 1980, the runner-up for Miss International 1980, and the third-place finisher for Miss World 1980. The event was broadcast by Rede Tupi.
