Miss Brasil 1987, the 34th edition, was held on 4 April 1987 at the Anhembi Convention Palace in São Paulo. Miss Brasil 1986 Deise Nunes crowned Jacqueline Meirelles of Distrito Federal. The winner represented Brazil at Miss Universe 1987, where she did not place but received the Best National Costume award. The event marked Homero Salles’s farewell from the general and artistic direction and was broadcast on SBT. Musical performances featured Luís Caldas, Gilliard, Almir Guineto, Joanna, and Ultraje a Rigor.
