Miss Earth 2001 was the first edition of the Miss Earth pageant, held on October 28, 2001 at the University of the Philippines Theater in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Forty-two contestants competed, and Catharina Svensson of Denmark was crowned Miss Earth 2001. The event was hosted by Emma Suwannarat, Jaime Garchitorena, and Asha Gill, and was broadcast by RPN, GMA Network, The Filipino Channel, and Star World.
