Miss Earth 2016, the 16th edition of the Miss Earth pageant with the theme "Empowered to make a Change", was held on 2016-10-29 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Eighty-three contestants competed. Angelia Ong of the Philippines crowned Katherine Espín of Ecuador as Miss Earth 2016, making her the second Ecuadorian to win the title. The edition also featured a newly polished and modified crown by Florida-based jeweler Ramona Haar.
