Miss Grand Colombia 2018, the inaugural edition of the national pageant, was held on February 11, 2018, at the BH Tempo Hotel in Villeta, Cundinamarca. Five contestants competed, and Génesis Quintero of Orinoquía won. Later in 2018, Quintero resigned following health issues after breast augmentation and a financial dispute with the organizer. The franchise was then transferred to the Miss Colombia (CNB) organization, which appointed Sheyla Quizena as Colombia’s representative to Miss Grand International 2018. Quintero subsequently represented Colombia at Miss Grand International 2019 in Venezuela, placing in the Top 20.
