Miss Intercontinental 1983, the 13th edition, was held at Tele-Aruba in Oranjestad, Aruba on November 13, 1983, with 40 delegates competing. Brigitte Bergman of Holland won and was crowned by outgoing titleholder Jodee Dominici of USA. Runners-up were Sandra Aliaga (Bolivia), Lucila Boggiano (Peru), Rejane Heiden (Brazil), and Marjorie Flemming (Aruba). Special awards went to Lucila Boggiano of Peru (Best National Costume) and Carmen Batiz of Puerto Rico (Miss Photogenic).
