The 15th edition of Miss Intercontinental was held in Lagos, Nigeria on November 23, 1986. Twelve delegates competed for the title. Elizabeth Robinson of Puerto Rico was crowned Miss Intercontinental 1986, succeeding Sumaya Heinsen of the Dominican Republic.
