Miss Intercontinental 1997, the 26th edition of the pageant, was held on 1997-04-07 at Europa Park in Freiburg, Germany. Thirty-two delegates competed for the title. Lara Dutta of India was crowned Miss Intercontinental 1997 by outgoing titleholder Timeri Baudry of Tahiti.
