The 40th edition of Miss Intercontinental was held on October 7, 2011 at the Circo Theatre in Orihuela, Spain. The event was hosted by Mercedes Ortega, María Abradelo, and Jaime Ugarte and broadcast on Latinavisión, featuring 67 contestants from around the world. Jessica Hartman of the USA won the title, succeeding Maydelise Columna of Puerto Rico.
