Miss Intercontinental 2016, the 45th edition, was held on October 16, 2016 at Stein Studios in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Hosted by Stephanie Siriwardhana and Fahad Farook, the event was broadcast on FOX, TV 1 and YouTube. Sixty-three delegates competed; Valentina Rasulova of Russia crowned Heilymar Rosario of Puerto Rico as Miss Intercontinental 2016. The runners-up were Tracy De Zilva (Sri Lanka), Silvia Commodore (Ghana), Floriana Russo (Italy) and Karina Nemer (Venezuela).
