Miss International 1961, the 2nd edition of the pageant, was held on 1961-07-28 in Long Beach, United States. Hosted by Byron Palmer, the event featured 52 delegates with eight nations making their debut. Stam van Baer of the Netherlands won the title and was crowned by the outgoing Miss International 1960, Stella Márquez of Colombia.
