Miss International 2000, the 40th edition of the pageant, was held at Koseinenkin Hall in Tokyo, Japan on 4 October 2000. Vivian Urdaneta of Venezuela won the title, crowned by outgoing queen Paulina Gálvez of Colombia. Fifty-six contestants participated, and the event was hosted by Masumi Okada.
