Miss Latinoamérica 2012, the first edition of the pageant, was held on 15 September 2012 at the Fantastic Casino of Albrook Mall in Panama City, Panama. Twenty-one contestants from Latin American countries and territories competed over approximately a week and a half. At the end of the event, Alina Rodriguez of Cuba was crowned Miss Latinoamérica Internacional 2012. The event was broadcast via the contest’s Facebook page and YouTube.
