Miss Perú 1972 was held on July 6, 1972, at the Teatro Municipal in Lima and was broadcast by Panamericana Televisión. Twenty-four contestants competed for the national crown. The winner, Carmen Amelia Ampuero (Distrito Capital), represented Peru at Miss Universe 1972, while other finalists participated in various international pageants.
