Miss República Dominicana 1980 was held on 1979-04-19 at Night Club La Fuente of the Hotel Jaragua in Santo Domingo, República Dominicana, with 24 delegates. Milagros Consuelo Germán Olalla (Santiago Rodríguez) won and was set to represent the country at Miss Universe 1980. Patricia Polanco (Santiago) became Miss República Dominicana Mundo for Miss World 1980; Laura Fernández (Distrito Nacional) became Miss República Dominicana Internacional for Miss International 1980; and Amelia Gómez (Puerto Plata) became Miss República Dominicana Café for the International Coffee Queen 1980. Other semifinalists participated in various international pageants.
