Fausta Lucía Peña Veras (Puerto Plata) won and would represent the country at Miss Universo 1981. Josefina Cuello (Duarte) was Señorita República Dominicana Mundo for Miss Mundo 1981, and Yolanda Pimentel (Santiago) was Señorita República Dominicana Café for Reinado Internacional del Café 1981. Remaining semifinalists were slated for other international pageants.
