Miss República Dominicana 1987 was held on 1986-12-10 at Centro Español in Santiago de los Caballeros, República Dominicana, featuring 23 delegates. Carmen Pérez (Santiago) won and represented the country at Miss Universo 1987. Paula del Carmen Lora García (Salcedo) went to Miss Mundo 1987, and Jacqueline Inés Soñé Alfonseca (Distrito Nacional) to the Reinado Internacional del Café 1987. The Miss Dominican Republic Latina titleholder was slated for Miss América Latina 1987 but resigned days later. It was the first time the pageant was held in Santiago de los Caballeros, outside Santo Domingo.
