Miss República Dominicana 2016 took place at the Renaissance Auditorio de Festival del Hotel Jaragua in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The final was held on 2016-04-24, where Sal García, representing Maimón, was crowned. The winner was slated to represent the country at Miss Universe 2016; runners-up were assigned to Reina Hispanoamericana 2016 and Miss Continentes Unidos 2017. Pageant activities ran from 2016-04-11 to 2016-04-24, and the organization aired the reality show “Por La Corona” on Antena Latina leading up to the final.
