Miss Universe Thailand 2016, the 17th edition of the pageant, was held at Siam Paragon in Bangkok on 23 July 2016. Forty entrants took part, with activities in Ayutthaya before returning to Bangkok for the final. The event was broadcast live on Channel 3. Chalita Suansane of Samut Prakan was crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2016 and was set to represent Thailand at Miss Universe 2016, while Atcharee Buakhiao of Chiang Mai was first runner-up. The venue was Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon.
