Miss Universe Thailand 2017, the 18th edition of the pageant, was held at Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon in Bangkok on 29 July 2017. The event was broadcast live on Channel 3, and outgoing titleholder Chalita Suansane crowned Maria Poonlertlarp (Maria Ehren) as the winner. Ehren later placed in the Top 5 at Miss Universe 2017, while second runner-up Paweensuda Drouin competed at Miss Earth 2017 and reached the Top 8, becoming the first MUT second runner-up to represent Thailand at Miss Earth and the last chosen by MUT for that pageant.
