Miss Universe 1966 was the 15th Miss Universe pageant, held at the Miami Beach Auditorium in Miami Beach, Florida, United States, on 16 July 1966. At the conclusion, Apasra Hongsakula of Thailand crowned Margareta Arvidsson of Sweden as Miss Universe 1966, marking Sweden’s second title. Fifty-eight countries and territories competed. The show was hosted by Jack Linkletter, with Pat Boone and June Lockhart serving as backstage correspondents. This edition was the first Miss Universe to be broadcast in color.
