Miss Universe 2011 was the 60th Miss Universe pageant, held on 12 September 2011 at Credicard Hall in São Paulo, Brazil. Eighty-nine contestants competed. Ximena Navarrete of Mexico crowned Leila Lopes of Angola as Miss Universe 2011, marking Angola’s first win. The telecast was hosted by Andy Cohen and Natalie Morales, with commentary by Jeannie Mai and Shandi Finnessey. Performances were by Brazilian artists Bebel Gilberto and Claudia Leitte. The event aired internationally on NBC with a Spanish simulcast on Telemundo; in Brazil, Band (Band São Paulo) was the official broadcaster.
