Miss Universe 2012 was the 61st Miss Universe pageant, held at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, on December 19, 2012. Olivia Culpo of the United States won and was crowned by outgoing titleholder Leila Lopes of Angola. Eighty-nine contestants competed. The event was hosted by Andy Cohen and Giuliana Rancic, with Jeannie Mai as backstage correspondent, and featured performances by Train and Timomatic. It marked the United States' first Miss Universe victory in fifteen years.
