Miss Universe 2022 was the 71st Miss Universe pageant, held on 14 January 2023 at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. It was the first edition under the ownership of JKN Global Group. Jeannie Mai and Olivia Culpo hosted, with Catriona Gray and Zuri Hall as backstage correspondents. Eighty-three contestants competed; at the conclusion, India’s Harnaaz Sandhu crowned R'Bonney Gabriel of the United States as Miss Universe 2022, marking the USA’s ninth win. The event was the first since 1954 not televised on a major U.S. broadcast network and streamed on The Roku Channel, with Telemundo carrying Spanish-language coverage.
