Miss USA 1965 was the 14th Miss USA pageant, held in Miami Beach, Florida on June 4, 1965. It was the first Miss USA to be televised live (on CBS) and the first to be a self-contained production held several weeks before and independent of the Miss Universe pageant. Sue Downey of Ohio won the title; she later placed 2nd runner-up at Miss Universe 1965. Finalist Dianna Lynn Batts (Dian Parkinson) later won Miss World USA 1965 and was 1st runner-up at Miss World 1965.
