Miss USA 2016 was the 65th Miss USA pageant, held June 5, 2016 at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Terrence J and Julianne Hough hosted, with Ashley Graham as backstage host. All 50 states and the District of Columbia competed; Olivia Jordan of Oklahoma crowned Deshauna Barber of D.C. as Miss USA 2016. Barber was the first African American winner since 2008 and D.C.'s third title (first since 2002). It was the first Miss USA under WME/IMG ownership and the first broadcast on Fox. For the first time, a 52nd entrant (“Miss 52 USA”) joined the field via a nationwide social media search.
