Miss USA 2022, the 71st Miss USA pageant, was held on October 3, 2022 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. Elle Smith crowned R'Bonney Gabriel of Texas as Miss USA 2022, marking Texas’ tenth title; at 28, Gabriel became the oldest winner in pageant history and the first of Filipino descent. Gabriel later won Miss Universe 2022 and, per protocol, relinquished the Miss USA title. First runner-up Morgan Romano of North Carolina assumed the Miss USA title on January 27, 2023. The event was hosted by Zuri Hall, with Julissa Bermudez and Micah Jesse as sideline correspondents, broadcast on FYI, and featured a performance by Chloe Flower.
