Miss Venezuela 1979, the 26th edition of the pageant, was held at the Caracas Hilton Hotel in Caracas, Venezuela, on 1979-05-17. It was the first Miss Venezuela broadcast in color on Venevision. Maritza Sayalero (Miss Vargas Department) won the title and was crowned by outgoing titleholder Marisol Alfonzo; Sayalero later won Miss Universe 1979.
