Miss World 1951 was the inaugural Miss World pageant, held at the Lyceum Ballroom in London, United Kingdom, on 27 July 1951, connected with the Festival of Britain. Hosted by Eric Morley, the event featured 27 contestants from seven countries, with debuts including Denmark, France, Holland, Mexico, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States. Kiki Håkansson of Sweden won, becoming the first Swedish titleholder and the only Miss World crowned wearing a bikini.
