Miss World 1969 was the 19th edition of the Miss World pageant, held at the Royal Albert Hall, London, United Kingdom, on 27 November 1969. It was the first Miss World staged at that venue and the first broadcast in colour by the BBC. Fifty delegates competed, and Eva Rueber-Staier of Austria won the title. She was crowned by actor Omar Sharif, rather than by the outgoing Miss World 1968, Penelope Plummer of Australia.
