Miss World 1971, the 21st Miss World pageant, was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London, United Kingdom, on 10 November 1971. Jennifer Hosten of Grenada crowned Lúcia Petterle of Brazil as Miss World 1971. The event was presented by Michael Aspel and David Vine and broadcast by the BBC. Bermuda and Guam debuted; Aruba, Panama, Paraguay, and Trinidad and Tobago returned; while Colombia, Denmark, the Gambia, Grenada, Hong Kong, Lebanon, Liberia, and Nigeria withdrew. Petterle later broke her arm late in her reign and did not travel to London for Miss World 1972.
