Miss World 1978 was the 28th edition of the Miss World pageant, held at the Royal Albert Hall in London, United Kingdom, on 16 November 1978. Mary Stävin of Sweden crowned Silvana Suárez of Argentina as Miss World, marking Argentina's second win. Sixty-eight contestants competed. The show was hosted by Paul Burnett and Sacha Distel, with Distel also performing.
