Miss World 1982 was the 32nd Miss World pageant, held on 18 November 1982 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, United Kingdom. Mariasela Álvarez of the Dominican Republic won and was crowned by outgoing Miss World Pilín León of Venezuela. The runners-up were Sari Kaarina Aspholm (Finland) and Della Dolan (United Kingdom). This edition saw the debuts of Indonesia and Turks and Caicos Islands; the returns of Yugoslavia, Portugal, Panama, Paraguay, and the United States Virgin Islands; and the withdrawals of Argentina, Austria, Jersey, Lesotho, Papua New Guinea, and Suriname.
