Miss World 1993, the 43rd edition, was held on 27 November 1993 at the Sun City Entertainment Center in Sun City, South Africa, with 81 contestants. It was the second consecutive year the pageant took place in Sun City and the second time in South Africa. Lisa Hanna of Jamaica won the title and was crowned by outgoing Miss World Julia Kourotchkina of Russia. Hanna became the third Jamaican Miss World after Carole Crawford (1963) and Cindy Breakspeare (1976).
