Miss World 2006 was the 56th edition of the Miss World pageant, held on 30 September 2006 at the Sala Kongresowa, Palace of Culture and Science, in Warsaw, Poland. It was the first time the pageant was staged in continental Europe and in a European city other than London. Taťána Kuchařová of the Czech Republic was crowned by outgoing titleholder Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir of Iceland. A total of 104 countries and territories competed.
