Puteri Indonesia 1996 was the 4th Puteri Indonesia pageant, held on 8 March 1996 in Jakarta. Alya Rohali (DKI Jakarta) won the title. The event was attended by Miss Universe 1995, Chelsi Smith of the United States. This was the last Puteri Indonesia edition before a four-year hiatus, with the next held in 2000, and the last to include a representative from Timor Timur prior to its separation in 1999.
